What areas do you serve?

We deliver anywhere within a four-hour radius of Kansas City, MO. Share your venue address when you inquire and we will confirm travel details in your quote.

Does delivery and setup come with the rental?

Our team delivers, installs, and takes down every tent we rent, and for a fee, places tables and chairs to your layout. Timing is coordinated with you and your venue ahead of the event.

How far ahead should we reserve?

Peak spring and fall weekends book early. Send your date as soon as you have it and we will tell you right away what is available.

What kinds of events do you outfit?

Weddings and receptions first, along with corporate dinners, galas, and private celebrations that want the same level of finish.

Can you help us choose sizes and quantities?

Absolutely. Tell us your guest count, venue, and vision, and we will recommend tent size, table counts, and a layout that fits the space.

What happens if the weather turns?

Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Story Events, we reserve equipment, inventory, and resources specifically for your event. Our cancellation policy varies depending on whether your order includes a tent rental.

Tent Rentals

  • If you cancel less than 30 days prior to your scheduled delivery date, no refund will be issued.
  • If you cancel more than 30 days prior to your scheduled delivery date, your deposit may either be refunded or applied to your Story Events account as a raincheck.

Non-Tent Rentals

  • If you cancel less than 15 days prior to your scheduled delivery date, no refund will be issued.
  • If you cancel more than 15 days prior to your scheduled delivery date, your deposit may either be refunded or applied to your Story Events account as a raincheck.

Weather Policy

This policy applies to all orders, including orders with and without tents.

Story Events closely monitors weather conditions leading up to your event. If we determine that weather may make any portion of your delivery, setup, installation, or event unsafe or may compromise our equipment, we will contact you to discuss available options.

Story Events does not hold or reserve tents “just in case” of weather. If weather conditions affect your scheduled delivery, installation, or event, we will do our best to work with you while prioritizing the safety of our customers, staff, and equipment.

If Story Events Cancels Due to Weather

If Story Events determines that weather conditions make your order unsafe and we cancel your rental, you will have the following options:

  1. Receive a full refund of all amounts paid.
  2. Apply the full amount paid as a raincheck to your Story Events account for use toward a future order.
  3. Reschedule your order for a later date, subject to availability.

If the Client Cancels Due to Weather

If you choose to cancel your order due to weather, the cancellation will be subject to the applicable cancellation policy for your order type. You will have the following options:

  1. Receive a refund of all amounts paid, excluding the deposit.
  2. Apply the full amount paid as a raincheck to your Story Events account for use toward a future order.
  3. Reschedule your order for a later date, subject to availability.

Please note: Weather-related cancellations initiated by the client do not automatically qualify for a full refund. The applicable tent or non-tent cancellation policy will determine the refundable amount.

This site does not use tracking cookies. The only personal information we receive is what you choose to share with us by phone, email, or our inquiry form, and we use it solely to respond to your request.
